This is an intrusion into an advertising video wall, on the Hybrid Tower of Mestre,
located in a nerve center: on one side Mestre and Marghera, the suburbs and the
industries, on the other Venice. I understood the incursion as a portal that allows
in the imagination, but also a connection between two faces of the metropolitan city.
The connection remains very short and intermittent, it seems to collapse between the advertisements.
The fragile destiny of Venice is very uncertain and ungraspable.
This city has always had its own rhythm, based on water-time,
a wave architecture, which I tried to capture during the pandemic,
in collaboration with the musician Nicola Busetto,
who created a minimal soundscape of waves with modular synthesizers.
